Was Kobe Bryant Intentionally Poisoned in 2002? – This DiSH for May 20

In 2002, Kobe Bryant woke up at 1 a.m. on this day with stomach issues after ordering hotel room service. He was apparently the only one who got sick at the hotel that night. 

In 1972, the Indiana Pacers beat the New York Nets to win the ABA championship for the second time. 

In 1979, the Winnipeg Jets beat Wayne Gretzky and the Edmonton Oilers to win the World Hockey Association’s final Avco Cup. 

In 2000, Minnesota Timberwolf Malik Sealey was killed by a drunk driver. 

In 1972, Bee Bee Bee was a 19-1 longshot but still won the Preakness Stakes

In 1988, the bull Red Rock was finally ridden successfully.

And in 1922, Kenessaw Mountain Landis reinstated Babe Ruth and two others after breaking the rules at the end of 1921.
