Also in 1964, the longest high school game in history. But there’s more to the story than just that.

Jim Thorpe Stripped of his Olympic Medals – This DiSH for Jan. 26

In 1913, Olympic Decathlete and Pentathlete Jim Thorpe was stripped of his Gold medals. It was a wrong that wouldn’t be completely corrected for 110 years! 

In 1983, Cheryl Miller scored 105 points in a high school basketball game, overshadowing her brother Reggie’s 40 point night.

And in 2020, Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others were killed when the helicopter they were in crashed in Calabasas, California.
