In 1940, Cleveland Indian’s Bob Feller pitched the only opening day no-hitter in Major League Baseball.

In 1996, the Chicago Bulls won their 70th game of the season setting a new NBA record that lasted 20 years.

In 1936, the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame announced its first class. 

In 1963, the NFL Hall of Fame announced its first class. 

And in 1995, Deion Sanders played with the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl, becoming the first and only athlete to play in both the Super Bowl and the World Series.  He was with the Atlanta Braves in 1992 when they played in the W.S.
