First NCAA Basketball Championship – This DiSH for March 27

In 1939, the first NCAA Championship was played.

In 1902, the Chicago Daily News began calling the local baseball team the Cubs.

In 2006, the NFL voted to brand all Wilson game balls with ‘The Duke’ in memory and honor of Wellington Mara.

‘This Day in Sports History’ is a one PERSON operation. I research, write, voice, and produce each show. So if you like the podcast, subscribe, rate and review and tell your friends about it!
