This Day in Sports History – Dec. 11

In 1985, the Edmonton Oilers and Chicago Blackhawks combined for the most goals in the modern NHL. Interesting though that the all-time leading goal scorer in NHL history did not score one on this night.

And sports icons, Muhammad Ali and Joe DiMaggio retired 30 years apart.
